I graduated from the University of Mining and Geology with a bachelor's degree, and master's degrees at the Academy of Economics in Svishtov, UNSS, and NBU (last semester).

I have previous experience in finance and telecommunications. I started working in one of the large non-bank lending companies, then for 7 years, I was part of the team of one of the largest banks in Bulgaria, in several different positions. Subsequently, for a year and a half, I worked as an analyst in the largest local mobile operator.

I started working at Access Finance in December 2015 as an Analyst. At that time, there were only 3 people on the team dealing with this activity.

Then I was offered to take over the Department of "Business Analysis and Reporting, at that time only me and one analyst. In the next few years, the functions of the department were expanded, taking over, in addition to the originally planned activities - analysis and reporting, part of the budgeting processes, sales campaigns, portfolio quality, maintaining a portfolio of external P2P platforms, and evaluating new market entry. In the beginning, the activity has been supported only in Bulgaria, and in the following years, similar activities have been also undertaken in the new markets where the company began to operate. At the same time, in order to take on the new tasks and responsibilities, 4 analysts already work in the department, and due to the specifics of the work, the employees need to have not only technical but also financial knowledge in order to perform their work qualitatively. In Access Finance, I was able to find an ambitious and cohesive team. The trust of the management and the freedom of action that is given to me are the things that motivate me to continue developing in this company.

I still remember that first day when my story in the company began. It was the spring of 2013, I remember the rainy day outside and how I thought to myself – “It’s your day, break a leg!”. So, it happened.

My interview was scheduled for the same day and was with Tsvetan Krastev, the CEO of the company. They were looking for employees for the position of "Call Center Operator". I felt confident as I had experience in a similar position and was eager to find out if I would be approved.

I have always realized that when a person has a desire, he can achieve a lot. It doesn't matter which from where you start, the important thing is to know where you want to go. It's a cliche, but it's true.

After the successful interview, my journey in Access Finance began. I remember the exact day when I signed my contract. At the very beginning, we started with only 4 people. Over time, the work increased, and so as the team. And so the moment had come when I was offered to take over the position of an Organizer of the Call Center. And soon after that became a manager of the Call Center.

So from a 4 person team, we started in 2013, the development was on the face.

In 2021, the Directorate "Operational Activity and Customer Service" was established, which includes two departments - Call Center and Credit - with more than 130 people. And I’m leading this team with pride and a huge responsibility.

It is a great pleasure and honor for me to be the head of the directorate from its formation until now. And finally, I would like to add a thought that we all know and by which I am guided, as a person of action - "Deeds are needed, not words". Act, that's the message.

I started my journey with Access Finance in March 2014. My first position was “Call center operator”. I have never thought this will be a long-term plan. But there is a saying: “Nothing is more permanent than a temporary solution”. I was among the first 10 employees in the Call Center and my work was to handle phone conversations with customers, prepare documents, and so on.

Not long after that, it was decided two different teams to be established in the Call Center – Sales and Customer Service and then I had the opportunity to supervise the Sales team. It was on my 4th month in the company (July 2014). In this position, I had the chance to work not only with phone sales but also with different campaigns and initiatives. Even then, the most interesting part for me was the work on new process implementation.

A couple of years later, at the end of 2016, I received a proposal to become part of the Project management team as a “Project specialist”. The new position was in an entirely new team, new work organization, new challenges, and many new things that I had to learn. In fact, working on new projects and processes was exactly fitting in the already forming idea in my mind of what I would like to do. It was a real stimulus to do my best and to prove that I could work in an efficient way in the new team too, even if it means starting the path from the very beginning.

During the years since the beginning of 2014 up to today, I had and still have the possibility to learn from the best professionals. In September 2019 my position was changed to “Project manager” and since April 2021 I’m leading the same team. Today the department name is “Software business solutions”, due to the fact that most of the projects that we are handling are software ones, but we still work also on different business processes and projects. Today we are open to working with specialists with different experiences. I think that accuracy, honesty, a positive attitude, and at least a little bit of analytical mind are the most valuable skills for our work. All the rest could be learned if there is passion, strong motivation, and willingness to make the needed effort, but it takes time and patience. I believe my story is just the right example of this.

Liviu-Valentin Vasilache

My journey started at the beginning of 2018 when I applied and took the position of Debt Collection Officer in AXI Finance IFN S.A. Romania. Two years passed by insensibly, in which I learned to mold myself according to the customers’ type and, most importantly, I gained some new friends for life.

As the period passed, I felt the need for a new challenge, so I applied, within the same company, for the position of Credit Analyst. The new job was totally different from the previous one and I had the opportunity to develop my attention to details and to learn the steps of credit analysis.

A new step in my career was occupying the position of Business Support Officer - a challenge for entering in the Management Team of the company. Faced with the accomplished fact, together with professionals, I learned how a financial business really works.

nother year passes and the previously accumulated work and experience begin to bear fruit, I was proposed for the position of Project Manager, a position in which I am still active today.

In almost 5 years of AXI Card, I met a well-knit family in which I put my trust and with whom I am continuously developing. I refused to treat the workplace only as an income generator and followed the example of my colleagues to consider the company a home where the whole team contributes to its consolidation.

Evgenia Alexandrova

The beginning of my carrier in Access Finance started at the end of 2013 as the first employee in the Credit department. Not so long after that, a need for a colleague to support office processes was identified. And so I became the first employee in the newly created Administrative Department.

With the increase in responsibilities, tasks, and the department itself, passing through several different positions, today I hold the position of Director of the Administrative Activity Directorate, and together with 20 colleagues from two departments, we support the company with diverse activities in many directions. I'm proud of what we've achieved over the years, we've grown, we're still growing and we're getting better in the market.

I am grateful for the development opportunities I received in the company and I hope many more people will find their professional path with us - in Access Finance family.

Dessislava Ivanova
AML Manager & Monitoring, AML & International Operations

I started in the company as a call center agent in January 2016, in the customer care team. The job was interesting and very dynamic and the team was united. In May 2017, I became a Team leader of the same unit. In the second half of 2019, I started working with Anti-Money laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) processes. In the beginning, I found it difficult, as it was new and very different for me. Step by step, I was able to get into this very deep matter and felt that maybe this is the right job for me. I have been lucky enough to establish a good team, who are as dedicated to the work as I am. At the beginning of 2021, I took the position of AML Manager & Monitoring, and in parallel with the overall Anti-Money laundering measures process, I also took Call center services in the International department. I believe that hard work, constancy and of course, the right team are the main things for a person to say “I am good at what I do!”

Magdalena Karlik

I started my career at Easy Payment Services in 2019 as a Credit Specialist and then was promoted to Team Leader. In early 2023, I was once again promoted to Credit Manager. My career to date has been primarily in finance. At work, I have always valued honesty, diligence, and satisfaction with my duties. My team's values are listening to each other and respecting each person. Currently, I am facing additional challenges in expanding the skills I have acquired so far and obtaining new effective qualities. Joint action, understanding, and motivation will enable me to achieve them.

Velko Kamenov
Credit Risk and Data Science Director, Credit Risk and Data Science Directorate

Velko Kamenov is the Head of the Credit Risk and Data Science Directorate at Access Finance. He is part of the MFG Group since 2017. His career in the group started in the Credit Risk and Revenue Optimization Directorate at MFG as Junior Data Scientist. He went through several positions and since the beginning of 2020 became the Team Lead of Data Science teams. Since the beginning of 2022, he is the Head of the Credit Risk and Data Science Directorate at Access Finance. The Directorate is developing and managing Machine Learning Systems for credit risk management.

Velko has a master’s degree in Big Data Modelling in Economics and Finance from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” and a Professional Certificate in Data Science from HarvardX (an online learning initiative of Harvard University). He holds various Machine Learning certifications from online courses at Stanford University as well as from the Software University in Bulgaria.

He is skilled in building efficient data science teams and developing Machine Learning systems and processes for business profit maximization.
